  • 1 pound chicken breasts, thin
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
Tzatziki Sauce:
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt (I used Fage 2%)
  • 1 ea English Cucumber seeded, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar or fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
The Wrap:
  • 4 ea Pita breads (I used Josephs)
  • 1 ea tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 ea red onion, thinly sliced
  • lettuce, washed and dried
  1. In a mixing bowl, add the yogurt, garlic, dill, vinegar or lemon juice and olive oil, stir until combined. Grate the cucumber with a hand grater and mix into yogurt mixture. Allow to sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

  2. Preheat the grill over medium-high heat

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, oregano, garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Add chicken and massage until marinade covers the chicken thorougly. Place on hot grill and cook until no longer pink.

  4. Once cooked, remove chicken from the grill and slice into strips.

  5. Add a drop of olive oil to a frying pan and heat over medium-high heat. Warm each pita bread for 1.5 minutes each side.

  6. Assemble the gyro by layering lettuce, chicken, tzatziki, onion and tomato. Serve
