Have you given up on meal planning because it’s just too difficult or doesn’t fit into your schedule? Meal planning can be very overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! One big suggestion we can make is to keep it flexible. Everyone’s schedules change week-to-week, which can make a once perfectly thought out meal plan seem like chaos.

Friday: Grilled steak kebabs – onion, peppers, mushrooms. Wild rice
Saturday: Take out
Sunday: Salmon, brown rice, garden salad

Having 6-7 days worth of meals outlined instead of scheduled can help with unexpected changes to your schedule:
Car accident on the way home from work – adding 60 minutes on to your already long commute? – plan for an easy to execute meal.
Home from work early? – might be a better day for a more hands-on meal.
Terrible day at work and don’t feel like cooking? – takeout or clean out the fridge night!
There’s no right or wrong way to meal prep. Find a method that works for you and your family!
