Marinades are easy to make and can typically be formulated with things that you already have on hand in your kitchen. They boost flavor, add moisture, and make bland foods taste better. Homemade marinades can also be more cost effective than the healthier store-bought options. Generally, you’ll want to use ⅓ to ½ cup of marinade per pound of food. For the most flavor and moisture we recommend marinating your meats for at least 2 hours.
